Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic
This is a full-time permanent position with competitive wages and benefits.
The successful candidate’s primary duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating with supervisors, administration, and workers, for the purpose of completing all work orders efficiently and effectively.
- Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items
- Work under limited supervision, leading, guiding and working with others, as required.
- Fill out required paperwork. This would include forms such as work orders, hazard assessment sheets, daily time sheets, repair list.
- Test, troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, and replace, parts and equipment/controls as required
- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance of all equipment or assets.
- Working alone in the field servicing heavy duty equipment
- Complete CVIP inspections preferred but not mandatory
- Compile a list of repairs needed during your inspection and go over with your direct report for repair authorization.
- Fill out and hand in work orders upon job completion.
- Keep your work areas, benches, and tool boxes clean and organized.
Successful candidates will be licensed or apprentice Heavy Duty Technicians with a valid driver license and have a strong operating knowledge of a wide-range of heavy-duty equipment that will allow them to effectively diagnose and repair any potential problem in conjunction with their direct supervisors, and other employees while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
Class 3 Driver

Heavy Equipment Hauler (Class 1 Driver)

The successful candidate’s primary duties and requirements will include, but are not limited to:
- Completing pre-trip and preventative maintenance on your assigned vehicle
- Continuously monitor all fluid levels, vehicle operation and handling, and report and defects to your supervisor
- Adhere to the Motor Vehicle Transport Act 1987 Commercial Vehicle Driver’s Hours of Service Regulation
- Complete accurate digital administrative documentation such as; timesheets, safety forms, and log books
- Competent at loading and unloading equipment, proper load securement
- Experience working with small hand tools is an asset

Ready-Mix Truck Driver
This is a full-time seasonal position that offers competitive wage, and benefits.
The primary duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Operating a ready-mix delivery truck to deliver concrete to various road construction sites in the Edmonton and surrounding area.
- Ensure Pre and Post Trips and all Daily Equipment Checklists are completed daily and any equipment concerns are addressed to your foreman.
- Complete all daily maintenance on equipment required for continued safe functioning. This includes, but is not limited to: checking all oil levels and systems prior to operating the ready-mix truck, monitoring filters, greasing of mixer rollers and grease fittings (greasing may be required on more than a daily basis depending on the work environment and conditions).
- Complete all required daily documentation accurately and turn it in completed at the end of your shift.
- When not driving, performing regular maintenance and labour duties associated with the regular operations of the plant and yard as required.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the mixer and cab interior & exterior to company standards.
- Must be able to lift 25 kg. (50 lbs.)
- Ability to take direction from dispatch/batch and senior personnel
- Must be a TEAM player!
Successful candidates will possess a valid class 3 or 1 driver license with a clean driving record, and thrive working in a fast-paced, safety-minded, and high-accountability environment. They will also have a have a strong operating knowledge of concrete mixer trucks that will allow them to effectively operate and maintain our equipment on a day-to-day basis.

Gravel Pit Foreman (Whitecourt, AB)
This position start date is expected for early April 2022.
This is a re-occurring seasonal positions that offers a competitive wage with benefits. This includes the use of a company vehicle and LOA.
The primary duties for these positions will include, but are not limited to:
- Be familiar with site equipment, improvements and upgrades, environmental impact, the specification requirements for products produced, and best practices for stockpiling and eliminating segregation
- Understanding of RROX loading, and wash operations
- Daily maintenance of plant and equipment is completed
- Ensure the quality control samples are taken for the wash plant and contract crusher
- Ensure all company safety programs are implemented within your area of responsibility.
- Work with other divisional superintendents and project superintendents to ensure your department works cooperatively with the execution of quality work.
- Staff development, objectives and measuring their performance and identifying improvement opportunities.

Front-End Loader and Aggregate Wash Plant Operator (Whitecourt, AB)
RROX Aggregates Ltd. (an affiliate of Park Paving Ltd.) Is looking to hire EXPERIENCED SEASONAL GRAVEL PIT PERSONNEL to accommodate our large work volume for remainder of the season at our Fox Creek, AB gravel pit. This position offers competitive wages with benefits, along with camp accommodations and additional subsistence wage of $40.00 per day.
We have an opening for a front-end loader and wash plant operator.
The primary duties of these positions will include but are not limited to:
- Loading gravel onto rail-cars
- Stockpiling aggregate materials
- Running a wash plant to wash crushed aggregates
- Operating heavy equipment (such as skid steers, front-end loaders, and stacking conveyors)
- Maintaining site cleanliness

RROX Yard Labourer (Sherwood Park, Gravel Transload Facility)

We are looking for an a YARD LABOURER to join our team at our Clover Bar (Sherwood Park) facility who will aid in the day-to-day running of the yard for the 2022 construction season.

The primary duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Helping setup and move conveyors
- Helping with the unloading of gravel rail cars
- Spotting for trucks and heavy equipment
- General maintenance of the plant and yard; this could include sweeping, and various other chores

We are currently looking to hire an EXPERIENCED GRADER OPERATORS for the upcoming 2022 construction season with an estimated start for the 1st week of May.

- A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Finish Grader Operator
- Able to finish sub-grade stabilize, gravel and other surfaces within sub-centimeter tolerances in preparation for asphalt and
- concrete paving.

- Able to cut grade against concrete, grade stakes, asphalt and other jobsite structures
- Experience with other construction equipment considered an asset
- Ability to communicate with grade checker and act upon information received
