Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic
This is a full-time permanent position with competitive wages and benefits.
The successful candidate’s primary duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating with supervisors, administration, and workers, for the purpose of completing all work orders efficiently and effectively.
- Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items
- Work under limited supervision, leading, guiding and working with others, as required.
- Fill out required paperwork. This would include forms such as work orders, hazard assessment sheets, daily time sheets, repair list.
- Test, troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, and replace, parts and equipment/controls as required
- Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance of all equipment or assets.
- Working alone in the field servicing heavy duty equipment
- Complete CVIP inspections preferred but not mandatory
- Compile a list of repairs needed during your inspection and go over with your direct report for repair authorization.
- Fill out and hand in work orders upon job completion.
- Keep your work areas, benches, and tool boxes clean and organized.
Successful candidates will be licensed or apprentice Heavy Duty Technicians with a valid driver license and have a strong operating knowledge of a wide-range of heavy-duty equipment that will allow them to effectively diagnose and repair any potential problem in conjunction with their direct supervisors, and other employees while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
Heavy Equipment Hauler (Class 1 Driver)

The successful candidate’s primary duties and requirements will include, but are not limited to:
- Completing pre-trip and preventative maintenance on your assigned vehicle
- Continuously monitor all fluid levels, vehicle operation and handling, and report and defects to your supervisor
- Adhere to the Motor Vehicle Transport Act 1987 Commercial Vehicle Driver’s Hours of Service Regulation
- Complete accurate digital administrative documentation such as; timesheets, safety forms, and log books
- Competent at loading and unloading equipment, proper load securement
- Experience working with small hand tools is an asset
- Able to work long hours
- Possess a valid clean class 1 drivers license and reliable transportation

Loader Operator (Gravel transload facility, Sherwood Park)
RROX Aggregates Ltd. (an affiliate of Park Paving Ltd.) is looking to hire EXPERIENCED SALE LOADER OPERATOR to accommodate our large work volumes for this year at our Sherwood Park rail transload facility located just off Clover Bar Road (north of highway 16).
These are seasonal positions that offers a competitive wage with benefits.
The primary duties of this position will include put are not limited to:
- Will comply with all company policies, procedures and practices
- Accurately loading of trucks, feeding processing plants, stockpiling materials, yard clean up and any other task that may require the use of a Front End loader.
- Daily maintenance and inspection of the loader. This includes checking all oil levels and systems prior to operating the loader, daily greasing of all pivot pins and grease fittings.
- Working knowledge of the equipment is necessary in order to properly maintain the equipment.
- Assist in other work processes such as plant equipment clean up and maintenance in order to achieve production goals. This includes but is not limited to dismantling and set up of crushing, conveying, washing and screening equipment, assisting in loading and unloading of rail cars as well as service and maintenance of the above equipment.

Aggregates Operations Manager (RROX)
Locally owned and operated, RROX Aggregates Ltd. is a Park Paving Ltd. affiliate and an industry leading producer of high-quality aggregates for the Edmonton market. Aggregate products are manufactured and transported via rail from aggregate reserves in north-central Alberta to the Edmonton market.
Reporting to the General Manager of Manufacturing and Materials, the Aggregates Operations Manager is a strategic member of the leadership team operating primarily at RROX’s main office in Edmonton.
The Aggregates Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the department, including all personnel, portable and stationary assets, aggregate production, safety, maintenance, budget planning and cost control.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting department/organizational objectives and providing guidance to personnel to ensure goals and results are achieved.
- Supervising aggregate extraction according to established mining plan.
- Supervising the production and rail transport of to-spec aggregate materials. Includes planning subcontractor crushing requirements.
- Effectively managing budgets and costs.
- Ensuring all site operations are compliant with all safety regulations and project requirements.
- Ensuring proactive, preventative maintenance is completed on all stationary and mobile assets.
- The recruitment and development of all employee positions.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years in the management role of an aggregate operation. This must include knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance, quality control, asset and financial management and mining plans.
- Previous experience with transporting goods by rail an asset.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills with an ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Proven progressive leadership and employee management experience.
- Must be very proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Gravel Pit Facility Supervisor (Whitecourt/Fox Creek, AB)

The GRAVEL PIT FACILITY SUPERVISOR will be responsible for supervising operations and leading crews at 2 remote gravel pit locations in north-central Alberta (Whitecourt / Fox Creek area).
Responsibilities include:
- Supervise day to day operations of 2 remote gravel pits
- Responsible to oversee wash plant operations
- Oversee rail car loading operations
- Oversee preventative maintenance of all mobile and stationary assets
- Responsible for Cost Control and Quality Control of manufactured aggregate materials
- Organize and lead a team to achieve scheduled production load-out targets and coordinate maintenance tasks to ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance
- Requirement to reside onsite. Subsistence provided.
- Ensuring all site operations are compliant with all safety regulations and project requirements
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public at all times
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience supervising gravel pit operations.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy duty equipment.
- Previous experience with transporting goods by rail an asset.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills with an ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong, proven progressive leadership experience.
- Must be very proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean (or relatively clean driving record)
