Base

Park Paving is capable of a wide range of subgrade and gravel base preparation on both large and small scales.  Our “Big Base” operations are capable of creating and working with all depths of cement-modified subgrades, and large placement and finishing of all depths and sizes of gravel layers.  We utilize Motor Graders, Front End Loads, Stabilizers and Mixers, and Skid Steers, to form the base and subgrade for both asphalt and concrete.   Our “Small Base” crews specialize in rebuilding existing gravel structures as part of major neighborhood rehabilitation projects within Edmonton.  This includes the use of Skid Steers and hand placement of gravel and soil cement.

Our Base Division is the largest division in the company with a wide range of positions from Grader Operators all the way down to construction labourers.  The Base Division provides excellent opportunity for those looking to start a career in Heavy Equipment operation as Park Paving is committed to providing development opportunities for those committed to learning the road building trade.
